It would be great not to live in a dystopia where honor and beauty are relegated to quaint notions of a bygone era
Nothing has really changed, you just see more of it is all. The nostalgia we have is for a time that mostly never was.
It is called "the oldest profession" for a reason. Women were trading sex with men for "favors" before we invented money. Doing it through a screen with the women in total control and no pimps is if anything an improvement over what ever period of time you never experienced you falsely remember.
You have free will over your own soul not the souls of others. It would deny them their free will.
I should use my power to empower others. That's the Christian way. But you're right, ultimately it's an individual journey.
The real issue is that people are not all individual, rational actors. People mimic the behavior of others and love to follow cultural trends and do what their peers are doing.
If you have a culture which allows and promotes self-destructive behavior, you'll get a lot of self-destructive people. That doesn't have anything to do with 'freedom'. It's a different form of mental slavery.
