Even though you've an axe to grind, the issues lie with AOSP Keyboard running on any AOSP based OS having a problem with the current versions of Jetpack Compose (used for text input). This is due to AOSP keyboard not being actively developed as the team was branched off to use it as a base to create GBoard which recieves priority.

This can be used safely with all network permissions revoked on MicayOS 😜 or GrapheneOS.

Quoting this so I don't ping unrelated people with personal and very opinionated takes.

I do not deny Graphene compared to Calyx is far better both from a security and (by extension, despite what I feel about SGMS) privacy perspective. However, up until recently, using it would have indirectly enabled the self-destructive behaviors and actions of a man determined to make reality the bullshit he was spouting about any and EVERY thing being against him. And I in good conscious could not do that to myself.

Calyx has its own share of problems, including the update aspects that with A12 onwards has improved steadily. I think a fully realized and complete microG has the potential to make things like SGMS redundant (but a better choice overall for the 15-20% of apps that don't currently work fully with microG) but that's just me.

I hope the best for both Graphene and Calyx, and wish the best for Micay despite how much he made it easy to absolute hate him. In spite of all his bridge burning antics and toxic mentality, I detested all the ACTUAL harassment and screwing over he's had and didn't want him to resign. My opinion would be the same if the roles were flipped and NICK was as socially unhinged as Daniel could be at times.
