Problem: as a podcast it is a) terrifying the idea of being de-platformed b) hard to attract new listeners

Solution: a nostr client that cannot be censored and is focused on short form video to help with discoverability for a podcast

Why wouldn’t this work?

I like this. Vox could work. I guess the question is how do you keep the content relevant and not show random notes and then - how do you ensure they follow a clip format and not like a full episode?

It sounds like it would need to be a tool that enables creation of clips - either with short video clips or waveform audio as video, with built in captions for muted scrolling.

You could have a vertical swipe format for short clips up to a minute (maybe the tool sets a hard clip limit) and a link to full episode (listen on x y z…)

When I promo my podcasts, we do it with video clips, that a editor manually chooses

We tend to get 3 or 4 good 1 min clips from a 1 hour conversation

Generally that is the best way to “trial” a long form podcast

People who want to learn more will then listen in full

I’ve also seen 10 mins clips be successful. If you have 2 to 3 hour convo you can pull a number of good sections out

Initially you could build it so someone manually enters their clips, with the link to the main show

One day the client could assist with the production work (which for sure people pay with)

Ie - you give exposure and sell implementation

That’s a good idea for mvp.

Long-term, a huge benefit would the the share ability of these clips

Would be potential route to purple pill people va Wa / Signal / Telegram etc

They would find themselves on Nostr and wonder why

Ya .. who is building it 😆

Lol

I am not a developer, so couldn’t, but would very happily co-found something as a commercial skillset
