Selling off inflated chip/tech stocks on news theres a new cheaper and better AI in town is logical.
Also selling off the hardest asset known to history (BTC) in response to that news is insane.
What are these BTC sellers planning on buying with their newfound cash?

over the weekend it is probably algorithms.
So ELi5, the assumption there is a significant enough portion of algos sell off on big tech news and sit in cash to see who/what survives or emerges from the ashes?
Or just try to be cute and catch a falling knife?
that's my view. monitor all inputs and if they are negative stop the trading, get out, and see what happens. the algos can do it faster than we can.
