In May, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi and her Deputy Todd Blanche informed President Trump during a meeting at the White House that his name appeared several times in the Jeffrey Epstein Files, alongside many other high-profile figures, according to an exclusive report today by the Wall Street Journal. Officials have said it was a routine briefing that covered a number of topics and that Trump’s appearance in the documents wasn’t the focus, adding that his mention in the records isn’t a sign of wrongdoing.

During the meeting, Bondi and Blanche told President Trump that the files contained what officials felt was “unverified hearsay” about many people, including Trump, who had socialized with Epstein in the past. One of the officials familiar with the documents said they contain hundreds of other names. They also told Trump in the meeting that senior officials at the Department of Justice didn’t plan to publicly release any more documents related to the investigation of Jeffrey Epstein.
