I can sympathize with wanting to protect your privacy as a receiver but I still disagree that going custodial is an acceptable compromise in the meantime.

Yeah, i also tend to disagree that going custodial is an acceptable solution in the mean time. Unless, there is true solution that fully realize the goal of better privacy while mantain the easy experience for end users. If the solution of those premises exist then non-custodial solution will be the winner.

I only limit the sats on custodial wallet for small amount. Bigger stacks always on my own node.

Yes, rotating pubkey node is better. I have tried OBW from Fiatjaf have implemented this. Every invoice have different pubkey node. Usually, i made several hops from custodial wallet > OBW > Another Non custodial wallet > My Own Node
