The hardware people use for helium seems pretty powerful, I wonder if they could be flashed with mestastic firmware.
Also wondering how hard it would be to build an incentiviced meshtastic with ecash "stamps" on the data packetsđź‘€

This is exactly where my mind has gone :) I already have an external 433mhz antenna mounted that could get 10km+, so might as well make it into a Meshtastic relay to cover the greater Shanghai area. Will see how it goes.
