Does feel a bit grim going through all this effort to be at the office to attend a celebratory lunch for the guy who beat me to the job. Is this kind of thing common? #Work #workstr

Haha to be fair, the silver lining is I know who I managing that role and I'm not a massive fan, so there was a bit of a relief there. Also, newly promoted colleague is buying everyone lunch so at least there is that!
