I so, so, so much want to agree with you. Crypto is not the future it is praised to be, in my opinion. But our current system is also not the be-all-end-all. I do think a shift in the financial world will happen; but neither will it have to do with whatevercoin nor will we live to see it (for one reason or another). Still, I mostly agree.
