đź’ˇIdea: Invitestr

What’s the common argument for content creators or people with huge follower count not to make a move on Nostr?

🗣️ "There’s no one there, I would be wasting time on posting for 3 people who know me."

We could sign a petition to show them how many people on Nostr are waiting for them. We can add a personal message so they know we mean business.

This should not be used for our friends and normies, but for people we really want here (such as Paul Rosenberg 🤓).

Sadly, I have no idea how to code something like this and it also might be BS...

Problem: No idea how to solve delivering this page to the person. It might get rowdy when the celebrity gets a thousand DMs linking to this landing page…

I have no idea who Paul Rosenberg is but your idea is cool and I respect you creating a mockup image of the UI to help us understand

This would be a good project even though nostr is overrun with bad people already and the people we really need to join are the ones that wouldn't get as many petition signatures as a bad person

Who are the bad people? I might be lucky for not noticing them that much..

But I think I can hear what you’re saying.

Most of the high-follower-count npubs

Everyone is bad, but it's relative

The high-follower accounts would boost really bad people to get them the most signatures

I feel like the top 3 people we need are Julian Assange, Greta Thunberg, and a COVID expert, but the nostr community would probably rather have Julian Assange, Coffeezilla, and a Trump family member (at least nobody has the balls to disrespect Assange so far)

Paul Rosenberg is the author of A Lodging of Wayfaring Men (favorite among Bitcoiners, cypherpunks, and the freedom tech crowd), as well as the Parallel Society newsletter and podcast. He’s also a speaker - I love his keynotes, especially this one from last year…

Lot of red flags there, mainly:

* Published book in an era where you had to be corporate-friendly to get published

* "Speaker" in an era where that means helping spread the COVID virus bioweapon by promoting crowding
