Is or will there a wiki option for nostr? -Or does the fact we can't delete or edit notes make this impossible or unlikely.

Considering wikipedia is an open source platform that already works... I guess there wouldn't be a need for it on nostr? What problem would it solve? I guess everything doesn't need to adopt nostr if it functions well without? Happy to be proven wrong if anyone has a good counter argument.

I wasn't specifically thinking of a Wikipedia replacement.

More like collaborative notes where you allow people to chime in on things you have written if you allow them too. The only way you could do this on nostr atm would be to read the comment and repost the note again, which would end up being kind of messy and confusing.

There where multiple discussions in between nostriches if one could build a wiki using Nostr. Most agreed, that it is technically possible using NIP-23 long form content with extensions. A wiki article would be just one note and can link to others. Long form content notes are replaceable and their id remains the same. Some problems arise with article history, discoverability, handling dupes, vandalism, assuring long term storage including media files and so on.

But as nostr:npub1ecj23gtrdr8sj7zmcusl9dfuem0dg7wmgvwe3uhl7kxm9wafn5psn7h6up already stated: Is it worth the effort?
