A random guy with a camera took two beautiful pictures of my daughter and me today at the beach, searched for my wife on instagram, found her and sent us the pictures.

I offered to him to send him some sats for his effort.

He accepted but doesn’t have a wallet. Which wallet would you recommend for a newcomer?

I would want it to be non-custodial but I want it to work on first try when I send him sats.

My thoughts are Muun or Phoenix

I use Phoenix and love it. Super easy for new users. No channel balancing but has a big first time deposit and fee

What do you mean by big first time deposit?

The first deposit if I remember is 10k sats minimum and they take 3k sats for the fee. They also charge 3k to open larger channels after that. I can move 100k now but it took 2 3k fees to get there

Oh, understand. But are you able to receive straight away without inbound liquidity?

Yes I opened it and shot funds straight from my WOS right to phoenix no problems.
