In Durostorum, Emilian, a brave young man, shattered pagan idols during a festival. Arrested and questioned, he fearlessly confessed his faith in Christ. Despite threats, he refused to deny his Lord. Angered, the judge ordered him to be mercilessly beaten. Yet, Emilian endured, his spirit unbroken. Finally, he was sentenced to be burned alive. As the flames engulfed him, Emilian prayed, surrendering his soul to God, becoming a martyr for Christ.
