The other issue is that most places I'm around can't really utilize the superior ballistics over stuff like 308. 200yds is a very long shot while hunting here.

I usually go field hunting. Lots of deer and no trees to get in the way.
There's not a lot of land around here like that. Great if you can do that, though.
Not really. Almost all my stuff is set up defensively.
A bunch of shorty's ain't bad, man. But, you need something to prevent the feds from getting that close.
