Other than that I share the same opinion on the PL wine label. First time I saw I remember thinking "WTF is there a truck on the label of a wine bottle?".
In Europe wine marketing rests on the appeal or credentials of history, tradition, luxury, nostalgia, wine/ agriculture/nature themes or, when the brand winery lacks history, tradition or method they can also appeal to youth with some sofistication, humor, art, etc.
But it's a difficult market with a lot of competition.
