what?

the new ones?

i have to admit, i don't know the difference sir

A few stages of evolution. The left two were actually flexible, while the 3.5” was rigid.

oh, i've only ever seen the blue ones and those have been in black

i didn't even know they existed in a bigger size before that 🫠

Yes sir. The crazy thing is, the smaller they got, the more they held.

You could really see the progress in a very tangible way. It was an exciting time. You would’ve enjoyed it.

Now you can buy a 1TB microSD like it's nothing

crazy to think about

And your phone is *millions of times* more powerful than the computer that took Apollo 8 to the moon and back.

Moon back & forth. Just like granny driving to the market for milk on Sunday. Easy. What a joke.

Bigger floppier ones came first.

Remember storing programs on tape? 🙃

Yep!

Weird how things were both better and worse back then eh? 🤣

Yep, cool but kinda crap 😂

Programs always ran the same way. There was no OS to muck things up. 🤣

Like DOS. Load your program and the OS was practically gone. The insane bugs we try to replicate and fix now didn’t happen like they do now.

Simpler bygone times. Scary thing is I caught the end tail of punch cards.

I missed that. I’ll bet some great experiences there.

Luckily too young to work with them - just had them explained to me. Phew! 😅

🤣
