Still no idea how to connect to this though

Then just use the #Nostrudel interface from nostr:npub1ye5ptcxfyyxl5vjvdjar2ua3f0hynkjzpx552mu5snj3qmx5pzjscpknpr

That app has all sorts of ways of logging in.

https://next.nostrudel.ninja/#/wiki

(You might have to login and then click the link again, since it'll redirect you to the login page.)

ah, brilliant, thanks

I would have to give it my secret key in order to publish (sign) a Wikifreedia article, is that correct?

How can I trust this?

I’ve been using getalby for signing for well over a year and have had no issues. It’s either give one thing your private key or give every client your private key every time you log in.

You have to give it your key or use a signer. I use a nos2x browser extension.

But nostr:npub1ye5ptcxfyyxl5vjvdjar2ua3f0hynkjzpx552mu5snj3qmx5pzjscpknpr is legit and even nostr:npub1fjqqy4a93z5zsjwsfxqhc2764kvykfdyttvldkkkdera8dr78vhsmmleku uses Nostrudel. πŸ˜‚

i use nostrudel with nos2x-fox... just switched my nostr browsing to this because it lets me use my relay as the app cache, brave blocks the app from accessing my local relay

yes, best to stick with using a signer, nos2x for chrome and nos2-fox for firefox

I managed to get it to use the Alby extension for signing, woohoo! And published a topic. I'll try to find some time to do more.

Coming out swinging, nice. πŸ€™

hey, can you send me an alby invite code? i need that to start using alby 😟

DM me your email; I have to give them your email so they can send you the invite.

It supports both nostr extension like al y and remote signers; are you looking to login with a private key or how would you like to login?

Missing a certificate?

No.

Ah, it works, now that I left the uni WiFi. Must not have like something in the text.

I like the formatting of the quotes. πŸ₯° Wiki pages should have lots of quotes.

Inline footnote-enabling would be nice, for the references. Looks neater. Don't know if you are using a library for that.

"svelte-markdown" is the name.

It could probably be tweaked or forked to display things differently, but I don't know much about these formatting quirks.

They work okay as plain text, but they'd be nice as an internal link.

Can you please add window.nostr.js or nostr-login there?

But WNJ is there.

I think it doesn't show if you have an extension enabled.

Oh yeah right!

I was just thinking about that "Do you know how to...?" list, yesterday, and this morning I was like... What does Nostr have, that nobody else has? Hmm.... Think think think...

What we have are a lot of nerdy people who know lots of things about all sorts of topics, like fermentation of yogurt, astrology, German needlepoint, the expansion of the universe, French hymns, Korean kimchi, South African water systems, Argentinian financial markets, and small Christian congregations. If we just write articles about that stuff, and the the wiki devs put some effort into making the articles "visible" to search engines, people will wander into Nostr over the search results.

That's how reddit, Twitter, etc. actually became so popular. People wrote stuff there or posted some news item, and the links showed up in the search results and people clicked them.

This is some content we already have.

Building a new internet on top is nostr, cool
