Primal has a couple of settings under notifications (screenshot below) but it could be much better as these settings only cover a couple of criteria. I’ve found Primal fairly good in general for filtering out a lot of the spam automatically, but some gets through. Muting those that do helps. If you’re on iOS then try Nostur too. Its web of trust settings are fantastic for filtering out the spam.
