I've always had a great deal to say but have never mustered the courage to post on social media. I rationalized this by telling myself I was too humble, which is embarrassingly self-aggrandizing in hindsight. Nostr has helped me realize that it wasn't humility; it was an inability to subject my most vulnerable and valuable thoughts to a feudal platform where I might be censored, algorimatized, and commodified. It was an act of withdrawal and rebellion. On #Nostr, I feel free and find that I can speak freely. Im so thankful for everyone working to build this community. This is the internet I dreamed about as a child. I've resolved to post a lot more in 2025!
