13 September 2023 - it's a delicate balance when showing error messages because the #intelligenceservices can use them as feedback to improve their next attempt. I'd like to think that the devs of these apps care but that would be naive.
This is part of the error message i got from org.thoughtcrime.securesms ( #Signal Private Messenger):

NullPointerException: Attempt to invoke interface method 'org.thoughtcrime.securesms.recipients.LiveRecipientCache...`
What i see is my secure messaging app is giving me an error about my recipients.
It doesn't sound good or benign to me.
