I'm a British national who moved out of the country about 10 years ago, I'm very disheartened by the way things are going there. I have great love in my heart for that land and the friends and family I left behind, but the people in charge have no interest in the common people.

Agree fully. Politics in the #UK has become an exercise in crowd control / keeping the lid on a pot that past boiling.

The UK has a massive difference between the people and the state.

However, the state in the UK goes beyond politics, the Ministries are very close to a true technocracy.

Indeed. Probably a tradition stemming from the colonial administration of the centuries-old past and the WW 1 & 2 regimentation that two wars forced upon its society.

This is not necessarily a bad thing. Leads to less reliance on fluttery politics.
