Is there a way to explicitly object to a softfork through a node?

through no update?

I think that is close to implicit agreement because old nodes will handle a softforked transaction as a valid transaction.

ha? even with no update?

Yes, it is the point of softfork. Thanks to this, softfork doesn't make chain split.

So, whether Bip300 or other kinds of softfork updates are approved only depends on votes from communities? not from nodes?

I'm confused. According to the book "The blocksizw war", UASF is separate node from Bitcoin Core. It implemented to say consent. But, I don't have any idea how to say opposition explicitly.

So am I…Just wait for other well-informed answers!
