The question is, if this is a good and effective kind of protest. Destruction of property is not IMO.
They'd achieve much more over time if they just switched much (or all) their ops to bitcoin. Using govt money is accepting the govt control over you no matter how much shit you pump on fasades of govt buildings or how many roads you destroy. Nothing really changes. For the govt it's only a cost of doing biz, like a giant fine for a bank doing fraudulent stuff.
I agree it would be awesome if we saw that the protesters all over Europe took wide adoption of alternative currencies to move their economic activity out of the controlled economic sphere.
I have very low opinion of the "climate protesters" that make it hard for working people to get from A to B by blocking the roads, so I'm not liking this destruction of public infrastructure either, in fact I'm wondering if these are paid provocateurs that do extreme stuff to discredit the farmers. 🤔
It's French doing french stuff I guess 🤷🏻. They are doing it almost constantly, just taking shifts. Memba yellow vests? So much destruction and pain... achieving absolutely nothing. Poor schmacks destroying stuff that another poor schmacks have to repair and pay taxes on later. Insanity.
Sad! I don't remember much "Yellow vests" violence, but I must admit I wasn't following France much when they were big.

I never looked at it in detail (because I don't care that much) and let's take Wikipedia with a big grain of salt.
These protests were big, long and often violent. Also their demands were very much leftist (tax the gas less, we want bigger pensions!, tax the rich more etc...). And yes the increased tax on gas was because of climate change. So the crowd just doesn't care about climate agenda, wants to pay less taxes and wants the rich to pay for the state expenses. Meh...
