Was just gifted "My Experience in the World War" Volumes 1 and 2 by General John J Pershing, first editions... Signed with a note to my Great Grandfather from General Pershing! Going to read them with the aim of finishing both by November 11th.
Can't make undetected changes without reprints. Harder to censor. More private. Easier on the eyes.
I also enjoy reading books aloud in group settings. A very enjoyable and historically normal way of experiencing a story.
