Got the yard mowed and edged. Experimenting with mowing with the deck at its highest setting to encourage a healthy lawn. So far it just means that I have to mow more often and edging to make it look fresh.
I took down the corn and mulched it up. Mixed with soil and some starter compost. Got it in half a barrel to use next time I’m planting.

I recently dropped my mower deck to the second or third lowest setting. Now instead of mowing twice a week I can make it a week to a week and a half based on how much it rains.
very sharp blades and I never collected or fertilized or watered, just mulched it in and dethatched seasonally. Best lawn in the hood while everyone else laid on the chemicals and fussed over theirs
