I don’t wanna call him an idiot because I’m sure he has some things right but he’s definitely missing the big picture. And his arrogance doesn’t allow him to see the big picture. Being angry like this isn’t healthy so what’s missing?

It is possible to be right on somethings and still be an idiot on everything. As you point out, arrogance can render one’s rightness, even on very important things, moot and irrelevant on the whole.

For sure but just listening to him talk and looking at him, it’s hard to see what benefits he actually gains from his magical solutions.

This would be because there likely are none and/or he is not living the things he says in any material sense.
