For a team and project of that size, $1.8M for an 18-month runway is more realistic.

3 salaries plus freelancers, tech infra subscriptions, servers etc, any marketing etc. It goes fast.

This is an estimate of what they should have to keep going, not what they had. I have no idea what they had. Loved their product, hope to see it again in some form.
