Correct. The ads are so infrequent I don't mind. Maybe 2 short ads per 30 mins? I never timed it.

I should make an account. I think I remember you cant just play a song but from playlist only? Whats the catch with free tier?

I rarely do it so just tested. I had to listen to an ad to get the first specific song, but then I typed in four more specific songs after that and there were no ads. YT puts an ad in between each one.

I may have spoken too soon. I typed in a Green Day song and it started playing a different Green Day song. I noticed it said "suggested" at the top. So I skipped that song and the next one was the song I asked for. Maybe it was a glitch, dunno, but I'm still happy with it given it's free.

For sure. I know they have to restrict some things. Im playing with it now and seems I can add whole albums but not individual songs. Its also playing recommendations automatically.
