It was so wild and out there and seeing a grown man act earnestly like an odd child made me feel seen in a way I hadn’t before. Like, he was weird and silly and the people he met on his adventure accepted him anyway.

I was in my 30s when the TV show first aired. And since I've never had any children, there were no kids around for me to watch it with. Pity.
