I feel like Saylor is making a play to become a figure like Jean Baptiste Emanuel Zorg, or Niander Wallace.

Saylor wants to own the United States of America πŸ˜„

A lot of plebs seem to worship him, but I honestly don't trust his intentions at all.

I'm of two minds. One one hand the guy is a businessman and an engineer, so when presented with the correct solution to a problem, it makes sense that he wouldn't fuck around with inferior strategies. I can't fault him for that even though the numbers involved make me uneasy.

On the other, his holdings both personal and through MSTR represent so much nascent power that even if he a good faith actor now, corruption is likely to occur in the future. I do not like that he's not friendly to advancements in Bitcoin privacy. He may end up being an enemy long term.

He might be benevolent, but I think everything he does and says is in his own self interest only, for better or worse. We'll see.

Some actually believe that because all the wealth he is accumulating is in bitcoin, that somehow all the greed and tendencies toward corruption dont apply. The people who believe this, also jump on bandwagons and join cults.

That's an absurd notion, I agree with you.

Bitcoin fixes us because it gives us a stable monetary policy to build our lives around and incentivises us toward productivity. But money is money, and humans have demonstrated that we are very susceptible to corruption through it.

Bitcoin isnt an illusion created by wealthy families and banking institutions, and affords some unconfiscatability (if thats a word). which is… great πŸ€“πŸ™‚β€οΈ
