The opposite is true. I'm encouraging everyone to stop following ANYONE and instead simply manage their relays better and deal with seeing posts from people they don't like or disagree with, or mute them.
I got rid of all follows because my feed was increasingly just people threatening other people with unfollows, if they continue to say things they disagree with.
