The thing I feel that a lot of this decentralized world is missing at the moment are some useful businesses. And it makes sense, because it's all so nascent.
Useful businesses will bring paying customers beyond the enthusiasts, and those businesses will happily pay for infrastructure, through advertising or monthly services.
But, like trying to gain global traction with a Zimbabwe start up, it's difficult to take off due to volatility, legality, interference from competing jurisdictions, low trust from the general public, etc.
I believe that will get easier in time. Sometimes I think about Estonia.
