It complains about not being able to retrieve from the well known addresses. Only one payment goes through. I'm not clear if the error is from amethyst or mini-bits, I think it's amethyst

Yeah, that could be it. If the receiver doesn't accept Tor connections it will not be able to get the invoice. Let me test here as well.
Are you using a custom Tor or VPN? I was able to zap everyone on the latest release note. 🤔
