People are too docile (governments keep them that way on purpose) so long as Netflix is connected, beer flows, and the illusion of "freedom" continues, there will be no resistance. A little fingerprint here, a face scan (for your safety) there, and people will eat it up. People are terrified of freedom because it's dangerous and risky.
