you may wonder what draws a line between a premature baby & a miscarriage?
the answer : technology.
at the current level, modern human technology can save a baby born preterm at 22 weeks (or 24 weeks in Malaysia) and above.
a fetus born below that period cannot be rescued by current human technology. with this in mind, a miscarriage defined in 1923 would probably be different than that in 1973 and that in 2023 and definitely different in 2083.
