Isn’t the bulk of the data usage from images? As long as a user doesn’t go on global that much on mobile, would that make a difference?
I’m connected to ~50 relays and use Damus both on my MacBook and phone. The end of my monthly billing cycle is tomorrow, and Damus has used 11.6 GB of data.
In my case, I rarely ever go on the Global feed, so the only images being loaded are those from people I follow.
