I have a question regarding Chrome web browser on my laptop. A few month ago, I updated it by uninstalling and reinstalling since it couldnāt automatically update.
Now itās asking to update again, but it fails to update. Whatās the issue? It takes some effort for me to uninstall and reinstall again, as Iām not as tech savvy as many of you here.
Is there a way to fix this issue? Thank you.

Do any other apps have issues (particular apps that you downloaded from the web rather than the App Store)? I suspect itās a permissions issue but confirming the OS and if other apps are impacted will help.
I heard another opinion, that web browser updates are mostly for the benefit of the companyāin this case, Google (to collect user info/etc).
