I don't think too highly of some of the "pro-Bitcoin" policies that are being considered by the USG. I mostly wish they would just let the free market do the work. That said, I think a lot of pain and suffering could be avoided if they passed a law making Bitcoin fractional reserve banking illegal for registered US banking institutions and Bitcoin exchanges. It feels like an inevitability that banks will try it.
