There is no doubt I feel worse in the fall / winter months living so far north.
Sunset is before 5 pm and it’s constantly overcast. The physiological reality is humans are not suppose to live so far north.
For optimal health and hormone function humans shouldn’t live north of the 37th parallel.

I live almost as far north as you can in the U.S. just a couple hours from the Canadian border west coast.
I feel your pain.
Dark and often overcast here too. But, I don’t mind it.
