what is with the american tendency to immediately write off adversarial information sets as conspiracy

it’s like the population is allergic to allowing any worldview-challenging ideas into their minds at all

anecdotally most of my assumptions and deeply held beliefs about the world have turned out to be completely deluded and wrong upon further investigation

everyone alive wants answers but few want to entertain difficult questions

have to be open to all possibilities to get to the bottom of anything at all

The schooling system ruins curiosity and creativity.

Education system has brainwashed us. That coupled with the fact that our life has been so good compared to the rest of the world, we just blindly follow voices of authority.

It has everything to do with the portion of society that watches mainstream media. They like being spoonfed and American media companies have been heavily weaponized.

I don't think that's peculiarly American, it's rather Western (the heirs of the so-called cartesian mindset)

will investigate, thanks

These are the only friends I intend on making right now: Those that have hunger and love for Truth. We know absolute Truth about world events is not possible, but there's always the next layer of lies to be discovered. Looking forward to meeting you at Nostrica.

It’s called Cognitive Dissonance - a defense mechanism. Also, American alpha males are in decline from decades of manipulating propaganda. Less masculine, weaker (beta) men are likely to see the world like women — seeing the world through a filter of “will society approve of me believing this?” vs “should I believe this”?

I don’t it’s exclusively an American thing, but rather people who solely rely on corporate “news” for information and shape their worldview that way.

Like with masking. The MSM and the people who following them parrot that masks prevent transmission of disease. Well, a meta-analysis from the Cochrane Library showed that masking doesn’t work.
