Same. No likes? Many UI glitches like not opening profiles. Confusing menu flow and no settings. Icons sizes differ and look cheap. Lots of empty space. Being logged in by default as an active profile (mascot) is strange.
Long way to go.
It is normal in a beta version to find some non-optimized things in interface. The developer's goal in releasing this version is to do large-scale testing the software.
#damus started the same way on iOS and now its stable version is one of the best client in #nostr

yeah it took a long time for damus iOS to get in a nice condition. People don’t realize how much work goes into these things just to have something that is fast and works

Really? I think its a great idea
I believe I know why you do. I'm trying to see through the eyes of the normies. You're not logged into Instagram or TikTok by default, you get a fresh start with profile creation or login.
With the mascot profile want to demo what's possible yes? So that the app doesn't feel empty. Personally I find intital emptiness helpful, I'm not distracted while getting used to the UI. However that's me, the normie maybe enjoys the show.
Anyway, it's great to see you published Damus for Android, THANK YOU, this is an important step for Nostr as a whole ✌️
