LOL the Ordinals craze makes running your own Lightning node insanely and stupidly expensive so only a few thousand zealots will do it.

Opening channels and then re-opening them when they force close because of bugs and subtle incompatibles in all the core software, oh and Tor being such a crappy system to run on, makes Lightning node running stupid at small scale. Sure it is a few sats at 1 sat/Vb but at 100+sats/Vb you have to be made of money to do it.

99+ of Lightning use will tend to custodial solutions and you’ve just recreated the horror of the banking system with different middle men.

No one that understands btc will hold their whole stack on a lightning node.. lightning network was designed for day to day transactions and micro transactions not to hodl your stack.. so my stack is perfectly save so are my sats. And every 4 years my purchasing power will increase significantly that fees lmao won't be a thing.. dont be like toys r us and not believe in what works and be left in the dust.. you have countries running this network that you claim will not work in the future lol funny lol the future is here and if you dont embrace it well...😉😉

If you believe in ever increasing value of BTC that means the fees you ignored in the past will one day be significant wealth you threw away when you could have been staking sats on Wallet of Satoshi and letting them absorb the costs.
