Which client are you using?
Re: getting verified, I prefer verification on my own domain as it serves the actual verifying part a bit better imo but using a service is widely accepted here as well. It’s relatively easy to execute. https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nips/blob/master/05.md

2. https://getalby.com/ - Register on the website and download the browser extension and add the received address in the profile, where it says LN link
