Laut Dr. Lee Merritt kommt bald eine weitere Runde „Whack-a-mole“ Krankheiten auf uns zu. Erneuter Ausbruch eines Wildvirus, und wieder steht ein Test bereit, und die Öffentlichkeit wird zu seltsamen Dingen verpflichtet, wie z. B. zwei Meter Abstand zu halten, Masken zu tragen usw. Dr. Merritt zufolge wurde dieses Spiel schon bei AIDS, Ebola, Marburg, Grippe, viraler Meningitis und Affenpocken gespielt. Die Pandemie X wird mit Sicherheit wieder eine medizinische Lösung aus dem Baukasten neuartiger Plattformen genetischer Experimente bekommen. Dr. Merrit befasst sich mit dieser Geschichte, die 1953 begann und deren Artefakte sie als „fliegende Einhörner“ bezeichnet.
