UK is, by banning VPN an encryption, on its way to become Nazi Kingdom where the regime can monitor everything you do on Internet. Imagine if the government made it illegal to prevent wiretapping of telephone conversations.

If the state wants to promptly monitor a citizen's data traffic, it is reasonable that they should first obtain a court order, not mass-survey everyone.
