Took a look at my relay configuration. It appears I’m connected to some paid relays which are likely only reading. Damus does not make it clear to me if they are read or write.
Afaik any paid relays currently are pay to write, and not pay to read. Should paid relays offerings change I’ll add a request to signify the difference between pay to write, and pay to read.
Have not ventured into paid relays as of yet, however in gossip I can set which ones I explicitly read from and to which ones my note posts are actually sent. I currently post to 5 relays only.
