A lot of new people joining nostr which is great! But then they try to approach Nostr with the same ego-driven algo-centric “influencer” tactics they used on other platforms. It doesn’t work here. Being authentic and consistent, building your reputation, and finding/fostering community DOES work here. I wish them well, but trying to be an “influencoor” on nostr isn’t the way.

"Back there" I had one follower and never made a single post. 😂 Not everyone's an influencer, some of us just want to learn new stuff. But here, it feels ok to write, somehow. Crappy writing but still.

So true, and same here. I never wanted to post anywhere else, but here I like to. Not that I'm interested in getting a bunch of engagement, but it feels like here the interactions are more real and meaningful. I also want other people contributing to the growth of decentralized and anonymous technology that their time is valued and appreciated. So, thanks! 😁
