Trillium Lake is an overly popular but lovely recreation spot on the south side of Mt. Hood. If you get there early enough, especially on a weekday, you can beat the hordes of yahoos and families and get a nice paddle in. It's a little small really but very pretty as you can see. The north end with the reed and lily pad wetlands is particularly cool, we got to hang out with a blue heron as it poked around for breakfast. #kayak #paddling #oregon
