16% of world’s population lived in rural settings vs 56% nowadays 🤡 barcelona had a strong rebellion in the 1800s, spain as a whole, but the only canton that managed to last (like six months) was cartagena, soon supressed by the government. then came ww1, followed by anarchist strikes, a national civil war and franco. freetown christiania, in denmark, seems to be a much better example.

Maybe yes. There are other examples also btw. For example the city of Thessaloniki here in Greece with ζηλωτές during the Byzantine times. The case of machnovtsina under Nestor Machno in eastern Ukraine was also interesting.

great examples. oaxaca was another good one. in the end, I believe it is possible for those who want to be part of it. say “screw the government”, go to countryside and resist with as many people as possible. towns will soon “become” smart cities. if it’s impossible nowadays, let alone in the future. rural settings are the only way, even as a remote chance to survive and prosper outside this ring, being an anarchist (which seems to me the only natural way per se) or not.

Since i am living in a semi abandoned village i have to agree 😃.

lucky you, my fren, lucky you 🤤

I still have a couple of years till departure 🫡

I am here more than ten years and i really enjoy so far. I have no idea what the future will bring, but i think it worthed the effort

best way of living, bar none. I used to spend three to four months a year in countryside. in 2019-2021, actually, on the coast. then I had to come to hell of concrete… definitely worth the effort 🤝
