June 6th is a conflicting day for me.

It’s my birthday and late grandmother’s birthday.

But we cannot forget, it is also D Day, in which the allied forces stormed the beaches of Normandy (where my ancestors are from). We would not have the freedom we enjoy today without the sacrifice of those brave men who went to battle. Never forget.
